Players, what you should expect:
This is a TAVERN poker league, not an internet satellite to the WSOP!!  If you are there for quiet,  serious poker and a free shot at the brass ring you have the wrong attitute and this isn't the league for you. 

Our players are playing to have a good time.  Players will be drinking and having fun.  They are not going to turn the juke box down and change the atmosphere!  Many of the players will be totally new to poker and Texas Hold'em so you need to understand that going in.  They are not serious card players they are there to enjoy a night out.

If you are looking for a fun night out and maybe bragging rights to being the club champ you are on the right track!!!!!!  Sure someone will win all of the big prizes but along the way if you aren't having fun you have missed the whole point.

Also, don't be a cheapskate.  The taverns are providing all of this for your entertainment.  Don't expect to drink free water all night, any more than you would go to a Denny's and expect to sit at the counter and not order anything. 

If you are not a drinker, that is fine but order an appetizer with a soda or buy someone else a beer.  And don't forget to TIP THE SERVER.

There is never a requirement that you buy anything or spend any money but BE A GOOD SPORT!!.   It isn't going to cost you as much as you would spend at the movies.

Having said that, I hope you'll join us for a beer , a martini, or a diet soda, on tournament night and let's just see if you can hit that inside straight!!!
